i'm so very glad today was friday. it was a weird friday, but a friday nonetheless.
today i went to walmart to buy some whiteout. the cashier said, "i'll need to see some i.d."
"for WHITEOUT?"
"yes, you have to be 18."
"but i'm 24! what can you even DO with whiteout besides white things out?" (as i fumbled through my wallet for my license while she laughs at me)
"whudda know. you ARE 24! and they can do ANYTHING with whiteout"
"i know i'm 24!"
"i wouldn't have pinned you a day over 17"
"ummm... thanks" (as i grabbed my bag a ran.)

- My best friend Charlie and I moved from the deep South to the great North for me to go to graduate school at the University of Minnesota. One time in seventh grade, I went a little white-out crazy. I was pretty lightheaded. So I guess I get it. Also, I used to have to get my mom to buy me paint pens in high school. How embarrassing!
