I don't blog anymore.

My computer is still confiscated by one husband of mine. But i have a hand computer and a computer at work. sooooo i suppose it's only fair that he use it--seeing as he's starting a business and all.

I've missed 2 days of work for snow days out of the last 3 work days. That's pretty noteworthy for Louisiana. I never had a snow day in Minnesota :) You were expected to risk life and limb to show up where you needed to show up to. But they've closed the bridges aaaaand closed state offices. So i guess i shouldn't feel so much like i'm playing hookie. but i do! there's no snow on the ground. just sleet and ice, i suppose. we'll see about tomorrow. right now the bridges are close and state offices, too.

but i'm missing friday for a thing i have to do. and maybe an hour or two (or 4?) Thursday for something leading up to that thing on Friday. sooooooo. this week was a wash.

we went to grand isle last weekend. it was nice. i didn't want to go because it was icy and we have a lot going on and stacy had been out of town and blah blah. but i'm glad we went. charlie finagled his way around closed bridges and highways and got us there. he's really a good driver. it was freezing cold when we got up (too early) on Saturday morning to go fishing. i was really grumpy. but then it kind of warmed up... and we had a nice little spot to ourselves... a pelican made friends with me... and then we started catching fish. we had a really fun time. it was a restful weekend.

i've felt bogged down lately. i'm hoping it's a phase i'm working my way through (not quickly enough!) but we shall see. he's got the whole picture and i just see a 1'' x 1''.

My best friend Charlie and I moved from the deep South to the great North for me to go to graduate school at the University of Minnesota. I earned a Masters Degree in Public Health Nutrition and Dietetics, and we've moved back to Louisiana. I'm a dietitian who wants to help people improve their quality of life through healthy eating! We love adventures, traveling, food and family. We have two dogs: our corgi Punkin and our lab goofy Rufus. We are very blessed to be in love and to walk through life together!
